Everyone has been going crazy over the Apple iPhone, and I can honesty say that I’m one of those people. Unfortunately for the makers of iPhone, I’m also going crazy over the price as well. Since that damn phone has come on the market the cheapest price I’ve seen it at was $300.00, and the store I went to wanted me to renew my contract before I could get the phone lower than $500.00. Yes, I know these phones do a lot, but are they really worth so much money?
I decided to stop being stubborn and tell my client that I’d like to review the Apple iPhone. Sure enough, four days later it came in the mail, looking wonderful, ready for me to explore it’s features. There was a new telephone number for it, so I was selective about whom I gave the digits to. I kept the phone for about a week, making calls, receiving calls, texting individuals, and surfing the web. The interface is something a little difficult to get the hang of, but once you just play around on the phone for a little while, boy is it fairly easy to operate. The GPS navigational system sparked my attention the most. While driving I could see how many police cars were in the vicinity, and- of course- the phone gave good directions on how to avoid them (with the president allowing police officers to work 7 days a week, I like to stay out of their way).
The iPhone was great fun to have for a week, but the price didn’t make me change my mind on buying it. If the phone becomes a little cheaper, I will most definitely own one for myself. Now, however, other bills must be paid, and while I’d love to be able to stake the cops without them knowing, it’s really not worth the money… Unless I have it to spend, in which case, I don’t.
Until the next post, much love, peace, and medicated hair grease.
